Tommy Amoroso CMAA, Athletic Director

Coach Amoroso is an NIAAA Certified Master Athletic Administrator (CMAA), and he has a Bachelor’s degree in physical education, a master’s degree in health, a specialist certificate in School and District Administration (SDA), and a graduate certification in Biblical Studies/Divinity.  In addition, Coach Amoroso holds a Georgia leadership L-5 certification and is an American Heart CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor.

Coach Amoroso has held many school-building positions in both public and private schools, such as teacher, dean, athletic director, assistant principal, principal, and head of school. Tommy’s coaching tenure included sports such as football, lacrosse, and track.  Coach Amoroso also served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Athletic Director’s Association (GADA), and he has taught the LTI athletic administrator’s courses for the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA), GADA, and GIAA.

When asked why Coach Amoroso is so excited to be part of the Oak Mountain Academy family, he states, “My job as an educator is to do my best to honor God in everything I do. Just as my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ came to the earth to serve, I wish to emulate Him by serving the OMA children, parents, staff, and community with honor and integrity.”

Coach Jim Keller

Head Basketball Coach

James Keller Jr. was born in LaGrange, GA., while completing high school in Woodland, AL. Growing up, his home life was centered on faith in God and family. He excelled in both academics and athletics, where he played basketball, baseball, and soccer. He attended and graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was the varsity and junior varsity boys' basketball head coach at Clay County Christian Academy and head coach of Southern Preparatory Academy.  Coach Keller was 2023/24 Region Coach of the Year. 

Oak Mountain Academy Boys Basketball season will focus on five key concepts: Humility, Passion, Unity, Servanthood, and Thankfulness, which will set the tone for who we are both on and off the court.

Dr. Wells coached 8 years as XC Coach in Scottsdale AZ and Pennstown PA

Coach Matt Kempf 

Head Volleyball Coach 

Matthew has been involved in volleyball since the early 90s when he had the opportunity to learn the game as a cross-training sport for baseball. He was able to play beach and Jr Olympics under the mentorship of Coach Dave Herron who would eventually become his collegiate coach at Northland International University after his baseball career ended in 1995.
Coach Kempf is the 575 Carrollton Director and Peachtree City Director of Player and coach development. 
Coach Kempf runs team academies in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North, and South Carolina. 
Matthew is married to Rachel Kempf, and they have 4 children: Chandler (21), Salem (17) Emma (15) and Brooklyn (14) and have lived in Carrollton and been involved in the community since 2008.

Jennifer Parker 

Head Boys and Girls Tennis Coach 

Coach Parker graduated from the University of West Georgia with B.S. in Health and PE

Coach Parker is a Junior USTA certified coach and is an active member in the USTA

Coach Parker has coached numerous team region championships and individual state champions 

This is Coach Parker's 6th year on The Mountain 

Jarrod Hunte 

Head Swim Coach 

Coach Hunte graduated from Fairfield University.  Coach Hunte is the coach of the MAKO Swim Team and OMA Swim.  Coach Hunte is responsible for all the workouts as well as the development of swimmers between the ages of 10 and 18. He is also responsible for all swim meet entries and transferring my knowledge and discipline so they can learn how to apply it to life. The most important thing, though, is to provide all swimmers with the experience they need to secure a scholarship to a college or university internationally. Coach Hunte has coached numerous state champion swimmers.

Coach Joseph Williams 

Assistant Athletic Director/Asst. Basketball/Head Track Coach 

Joseph Williams, or "Coach Joe," is a native of Atlanta, GA. I am a 2014 Savannah State University graduate, majoring in Political Science and minoring in English. I was also a running back for the Savannah State University Tigers.  I moved to Villa Rica in 2016 and started my family with Tara McClure. We have two children, Micah and Leah Williams. I was the Head Boys Basketball Coach and Head Track Coach at Bay Springs. I have also taught Weight Training at Bay Springs Middle School for 5 years. I have great expectations for my students, including becoming extreme, more athletic, and well-rounded! I look forward to an awesome school year with all my student athletes!

Coach Andy Mills

Head MS/Varsity Soccer Coach 

Andy Mills was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he grew up playing football, basketball, and tennis. His love for sports shaped his youth, instilling in him a lifelong passion for competition and teamwork. Later, Andy discovered a deep appreciation for soccer, especially as he began coaching his children. He spent five years guiding young athletes in the Carrollton recreation league, helping them grow both on and off the field. For the past two years, Andy has served as the middle school soccer coach, where his leadership and dedication have elevated the program. Now, he is excited to take the next step by moving the team up to the varsity level, eager to continue developing players and building a strong, competitive program. Andy’s commitment to sports and mentoring young athletes remains at the heart of everything he does.

This is Coach Andy's 3rd year on The Mountain
