Grades 6 – 8
With a strong focus on the Oak Mountain Academy mission, the middle school, which includes grades 6-8, is a cohesive community of students, parents and teachers all working together to accomplish a common goal of helping our young people become successful, independent learners. This environment encourages students to stretch themselves academically, while discovering their self worth and potential, and while respecting the individual rights and values of others.
It is the goal of the middle school to prepare students for the socially and technologically challenging world in which they live now and will live in the future. Language arts, math and technology are strongly emphasized. Science, social studies, foreign language, physical education, drama, Bible, art and music are offered as well. It is important for young people to join together in a learning community where developing a life long love of learning is encouraged and supported.
